BESPOKE UPHOLSTERY SERVICE
At Rosehip Upholstery I offer a tailor made Bespoke Upholstery Service which reflects my customers style and personality.
I keep flexible appointment slots for you to bring your furniture item to the workshop for assessment. If are unable to transport your item to the workshop, I can arrange a home visit within the local area. Dependent on distance from the workshop, a travel cost may be requested.
If you live further afield, I can provide a general estimation through photographs and measurements via email, subject to assessment.
Common examples of the types of upholstery work I undertake are; Arm Chairs, Dining Chairs, Sofas, Ottomans, Window Seats, Footstools, Cushion covers
If your article is not specifically mentioned above, fear not! My expertise and experience is not all inclusive to this list.
Why not take a look at my Gallery to see examples of previous commissions.
TRADITIONAL UPHOLSTERY
Trained by the Association of Master Upholsterers and Soft Furnitures, I specialise in Traditioanl Upholstery techniques and materials.
Furniture can be stripped right back to the frame and rebuilt using webbing, springs, hair and stuffings. All hand tied, stitched and shaped.
Every aspect is hand crafted with close attention to detail.
MODERN UPHOLSTERY
Springs and webbings can be replaced and disintegrated foam replaced with Rubberised Hair and flockings if necessary.
In some cases, a mixture of Traditional Upholstery and Modern Upholstery are used, each piece of furniture is unique!
If your not sure what type of Upholstery is needed on your piece, I'm here to help. Just get in touch and we can discuss what options could be available.
FABRIC
With access to leading contemporary interior fabric suppliers I can help you find the perfect fabric to compliment your current decor.
I carry a range of sample books and fabric swatches at the Workshop for you to choose from. Additionally, free samples can be sent out directly to your home so you can make the final decision.
Some of the most popular fabric brands amongst my clients are:
Abraham Moon & Sons, Linwood, Warwick, Melin Tregwynt, Ian Mankin, Cefyn Burgess, Vanessa Arbuthnott, Warner House, Bute, Camira
There are a number of regulations that fabric must comply with depending on the age of the furniture and its intended usage.
I politely request that clients do not purchase fabric prior to consultation.
If you have purchased fabric from an online shop or discount fabric shop it may not be suitable for purpose and I will be unable to use it on your piece.
